Alisha Haynes-Springs, a Judson ISD employee who works in the special education department, has dedicated her time and help for the Wagner T-Birds Track and Cross Country teams. Alisha has contributed to the T-Bird Running Quad by shooting videos of the running events, came to every track meet each week, encouraged the girls to become their very best and contributed to our fundraising whether it’s buying a shirt or donating through our run -a-thon email fundraiser. She is an advocate for education, and was presented with the Community Spotlight Award surround by the team of girls whom she supported. The award recognizes individuals who have made contributions to the community through their outstanding service and commitment to positive change.
Alisha took time out of her schedule to come support the teams while supporting her two children with intellectual disabilities and Autism non verbal. I can always count on her to send me a video of the 4-by 1 relay right after it was ran to see how it was performed. The Wagner Track team recognizes her as their biggest supporter. She will watch the thrower then head over to the area when the other field events take place.
Alisha adds, “ As a happily married individual with four children, I have always been passionate about education. My involvement in sports like volleyball, basketball, and track and field has taught me the importance of teamwork and dedication. Growing up in Judson ISD, I was influenced by legendary educators like Mr. and Mrs. Haynes, who instilled in me the value of education and inspired me to pursue a career in this field. I have no regrets about my decision, as I find joy in helping students and contributing to their growth and development.
“Alisha embodies what it means to be a true community spotlight,” said Coach Crawford. “Her passion for education and unwavering dedication to our children have transformed lives and inspired many. We are proud to honor her with this award.”
The Community Spotlight Award aims to highlight individuals like Alisha who exemplify the spirit of giving and inspire others to engage in the community.
Alisha Haynes-Springs, thank you for service and we hope to see you this season!
